FNL has donated all of the manuscripts and c1,800 printed books to relevant institutions across the country, ensuring that as many people as possible can enjoy this treasure trove of English and Scottish literature.
You can download a full list of the institutions that have received donations below, the extraordinary riches of the Blavatnik Honresfield Library now enhance collections of nearly 70 institutions in all four home nations across the UK.
FNL has taken a completely novel approach to this acquisition, leading a consortium of eight national, university and specialist collecting institutions to which all of the manuscripts have been donated by FNL. In another novel approach, some manuscripts are now owned jointly by two or three institutions - for example, the Bronte 'little books' are jointly owned by the Bronte Parsonage, the Brotherton Library and the British Library.
We are preparing an online database of the entire collection - you will be able to search and find out which manuscripts and books have been donated to different institutions. Meanwhile...
