The visit will be to the library of FNL Trustee Mark Storey who has energetically collected the arts of the book over the last 25 years. His very large collection ranges from 1800 to contemporary and includes American, European and Japanese books as well as British ones. A comprehensive private press collection sits alongside artists’ books and famous livres d’artiste.
We will see an eclectic selection of recent acquisitions, many of which are the only examples in the UK. Designs for bindings, maquettes, woodblocks, archives and drawings all supplement the books.
