HRH The Prince of Wales writes about the Honresfield campaign
FNL's Royal Patron, writing in the Daily Mail, describes FNL's Honresfield Appeal as a 'noble campaign'.
FNL's Royal Patron, HRH The Prince of Wales, has written a heartfelt appeal on behalf of the FNL campaign to save Honresfield Library.
The Prince of Wales writes that the FNL campaign is a 'very important national endeavour.....the idea of the [collection] being lost to this country is too awful to contemplate.'
Praising the appeal as 'a very important national endeavour', Charles said that literature was 'in the DNA' of British culture. He added: 'In saving these priceless manuscripts for the public, we have the opportunity to ensure that these invaluable records of works of genius will remain in the land where they were created, and where they belong.'
